Celebrating Our Differences
At HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Miami, we have an Employee Activity Committee, in which employees from each department work together to devise ways for our hospital to celebrate Black History Month, National Hispanic Heritage Month and Asian-Pacific American Heritage Month, among others. “Each of our employees contributes his or her unique skills and enthusiasm to HealthSouth Miami’s effort to embrace diversity,” says hospital CEO Elizabeth L. Izquierdo, CPA. “Patients who see our diverse staff are better able to relate to the people delivering their care, which benefits their overall recovery and satisfaction.”
